Malcolm Donald is a self taught artist who has worked with glass for over 20 years. He originally started working as a lead light artist, working many years in window restoration and design, later evolving in to the field of kiln fired glass and jewellery making. He lives on beautiful Bruny Island in the south of Tasmania with his family over looking the waters of the D'decastreux Channel. From here he draws his inspiration for his glass from the surrounding environment where the scenery is rugged and wild and ever changing, exposed to the roaring forties.
Malcolm now mainly works with dichroic glass making jewellery. He is captured by the beauty and depth of colour and the endless possibilities of colour creation that dichroic glass has to offer.
